Frank Sousa
Responsibilities: Captain Francis Sousa is assigned to the Community Support Division.

History: During his tenure with the with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, he has been assigned to Patrol as well as several specialized units.  He was assigned to the Tactical Impact Unit, Special Investigations Unit as a Narcotics Detective, and to the D.E.A. as a Federal Task Force Officer.  Francis was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2006 and was reassigned to Patrol.  Shortly thereafter, he was assigned to the Office of the Chief as the agencies Public Information Officer.  Four and half years later he was transferred to the Special Investigations Division where he served as the Narcotics Supervisor.  He was then promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2011 and was assigned to the Operations Support Division.  In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of Captain.  Since his promotion, he has served as a Captain in the Administrative Support Division and was also the District Commander for District 1.  Francis has been a member of the agencies Honor Guard for over ten years and currently serves as the Honor Guard Commander.
