The Special Investigations Division of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department has now made available the addresses of properties where nuisance abatement warning letters have been sent and those properties that are currently under the jurisdiction of the Nuisance Abatement Board. This is in accordance with City Ordinance §§2-255 and 2-256 and State Statute 893.138.
This site is in response to complaints from citizens regarding drug dealing and other unlawful acts that disrupt the quality of life throughout Fort Lauderdale’s neighborhoods. It has been created to help the citizens of Ft. Lauderdale, neighborhood associations and landlords in deterring illegal activity in their neighborhoods by utilizing Nuisance Abatement procedures.
This website will allow you to view the addresses of properties that are currently under the jurisdiction of the Nuisance Abatement Board and the properties that recently received Nuisance Abatement warning letters. Additional Information related to individuals who were arrested for narcotic possession or other offenses during search warrants or other illegal activity are also listed.

Current Properties May 2013
(a) On more than two occasions within a 6-month period, as the site of a violation of State Statute 796.07;
(b) On more than two occasions within a 6-month period, as the site of the unlawful sale, delivery, manufacture, or cultivation of any controlled substance;
(c) On one occasion as the site of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, where such possession constitutes a felony and that has been previously used on more than one occasion as the site of the unlawful sale, delivery, manufacture, or cultivation of any controlled substance;
(d) By a criminal gang for the purpose of conducting criminal gang activity as defined by State Statute 874.03; or
(e) On more than two occasions within a 6-month period, as the site of a violation of State Statute 812.019 relating to dealing in stolen property.
Complaints NOT addressed by the Nuisance Abatement Team
|Not all nuisances are addressed by the Nuisance Abatement team. These include: noise complaints, barking dogs, loud music, code enforcement issues, and other non-criminal activity. While these and other activities may be a community problem, they are not addressed by the Nuisance Abatement team, but may be addressed through other FLPD divisions. The Nuisance Abatement Board is an advisory board of the City of Fort Lauderdale and meets at 7:00PM in the fist floor Chambers the second Thursday of the month. Agendas and minutes for the meetings can be viewed on the City of Fort Lauderdale Nuisance Abatement Board web site.
If you have a complaint about a property that could be nuisance related, please email the following information:
- Address of property
- Type of complaint, drug activity, prostitution or dealing in stolen property
- Time of day which the activity takes place
